You will find excellent bookshops, up-market boutiques, and brand showrooms. Additionally, there are nice eateries and cafes that are popular with the locals where you can enjoy your lunch (payable directly). Next, we visit Gandhi Smriti to honour the inspirational figure who, in the late 1940s, through a nonviolent approach spurred reform that resulted in India being independent. Take a tour through the landscape of Old Delhi, a fascinating tapestry of many cultures and delectable cuisines. There are actual restaurants on this specifically selected street food path, some of which are centuries old. Treat your taste buds to some handspun, deep-fried syrupy delicious jalebi. Day 04: Jaipur
Today’s sightseeing includes visiting many gems of Jaipur. We begin with exploring the resplendent Amber Fort, which is sprawled across the summit of a natural hill outside of Jaipur. Amber Fort, which is pronounced “AH-meer” is a well-preserved structure from the heyday of the Rajput monarchy in Rajasthan. It is historically significant and artistically spectacular. The elaborate Maharaja’s palace from the sixteenth century is a distinctive fusion of Islamic and Hindu architecture. While coming back from the fort we will make a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal – The Palace of Winds.
Later, we visit Maharaja’s City Palace, the former Royal residence part of which was converted into a museum. Next, we visit Jantar Mantar. It is one of the largest stone and marble-crafted observatories in the world built by Jai Singh from 1728 to 1734. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition.
In the evening, you are invited to the house of an Indian Family for a cooking demonstration followed by dinner. Here, you’ll get to see what a typical Rajasthani home looks like, experience the hospitality for which India is so famous, and enjoy a dinner of traditional dishes.

Day 05: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
After breakfast, we drive to Agra en route visit Fatehpur Sikri. This spectacular walled historic city is located west of Agra and served as the Mughal empire’s transient capital from 1572 to 1585 under Emperor Akbar. The city, an Indo-Islamic wonder, was built in an allegedly water-scarce location and was thus abandoned soon after Akbar’s demise.
After the visit, we continue with your drive to Agra. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival.
In the evening we visit Agra Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty till 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. It has several fairy-tale palaces, including Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal built by Shah Jahan; audience halls like the Diwan-i-Khas, and two exquisite mosques.
Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 06: Agra – Jhansi (By Train) – Orchha – Khajuraho
At sunrise, we visit the white wonder marble standing majestically on the banks of River Yamuna. Taj Mahal – a UNESCO World Heritage Site was built in 1632 by Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal’s exterior embellishments serve as the ideal illustration of exquisite Mughal art. The Taj Mahal’s marble inlay art is a marvel and will be a striking ornamental element.
Later, board the morning train towards Jhansi. Drive to Khajuraho, the land of Kamasutra. En route, spend half a day exploring Orchha, a little hamlet in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, which previously served as the seat of the powerful Bundela rulers, who in the Middle Ages reigned over a vast area between the Ganga and the Narmada. The historical sites in Orchha still exude pure beauty and tell tales of love, conflict, and devastation. Additionally, it is a location well-known for the Bundela paintings, for which it was formerly a hub of activity.
The majority of Orchha’s attractions are located within the fort complex, which also includes palaces, temples, cenotaphs, and memorials. There are three palaces arranged in a quadrangle within the complex, which is accessible through a multi-arched bridge.
After the visit, we continue with our drive to Khajuraho. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival.
Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 07: Khajuraho – Varanasi (By Flight)
This morning we leave for sightseeing of the Khajuraho Group of Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was constructed by the Chandela Dynasty during the Middle Ages and is renowned for its Nagara-Style architecture and beautiful statues of nayikas (Hindu Mythological female characters) and deities. According to historical records, there were 85 temples in the temple complex in the 12th century, covering 20 square kilometers. Only 25 of these temples—scattered throughout a six-square-kilometer area—have endured the passage of time.
After visiting the Eastern & Western groups of temples, we take a leisurely walk in the nearby Jatkara Village. This is the village of pot makers. Feel the warmth of the villagers as you interact with a local family.
Later, board your flight to Varanasi. On arrival, a representative from Terra Viaggi will assist you on arrival and chauffeur you to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy a private, guided tour of the sacred city at night while seeing Varanasi as Mahashamstana, the enormous cremation site.
