Our Story
The co-founders Akshat Jain, Mudit Jain and Rajendra Singh first crossed paths while working at an inbound travel company in Noida.
Akshat, a good Italian guide, and Mudit and Rajendra in the Product and Sales departments, had a nice eight years at the company. But, they got bored with the travel business. Packages were boring, rushed, and didn’t care about the environment.
The Covid-19 pandemic made them think, and in 2020, they bravely quit their jobs to follow their passion. Wanting change, they started Terra Viaggi, not from a sudden idea, but from a strong wish to do better.

Meet the Team
Mudit Jain
Co - Founder / Travel Researcher & Sustainability Lead
From a very young age I was exposed to a diverse range of cultures and experiences, fostering within me a passion for exploration and travel that would shape many of my choices in my early adulthood. My academic pursuits further cultivated this interest, including my studies at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (2010-2012) and my completion of mountaineering and skiing courses, such as the Basic Mountaineering Course at the renowned Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling (2015) and the Basic Skiing Course at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports in Manali (2011). After a short stint at Yatra.com (2012), where I realized that online travel sales was not my calling, I joined an Inbound Travel Company in Noida in 2013 to pursue a more hands-on role. As the head of the product team, I traveled extensively throughout India in search of new authentic experiences and hotels, with a focus on sustainable and responsible tourism. The events of 2020 presented an opportunity for introspection and reflection, leading me to co-found Terra Viaggi alongside a passionate and experienced team, built around these core values.
Akshat Jain
Founder / Business Development - Italy
Born and raised in the heart of Old Delhi, the historical and cultural epicenter, I have always harbored a deep desire to introduce people to the rich tapestry of India’s culture and history. My journey began at the Italian Cultural Institute in New Delhi from 2003 to 2005, where I immersed myself in fostering connections between Italy and India. In 2005, I landed my first job at Le Passage To India, taking on the responsibility of hosting Italian guests, an experience that lasted until 2010.
An exciting opportunity presented itself when I joined an Inbound Travel Company based in Noida. Guiding Italian groups across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka became a fulfilling part of my life. Alongside my professional pursuits, I find solace and joy in trekking, playing cricket, and the simple pleasure of flying kites. Being a devout Jain, I embrace every chance to share knowledge about Jainism’s principles and teachings.
With nearly two decades of industry expertise, I possess a profound understanding of the imperative for change in our field United in our commitment to redefining the role of tour operators and agents within the travel industry. Our shared vision is to foster a sustainable and harmonious approach to travel, crafting indelible moments for our discerning travelers.
Rajendra Singh
Co - Founder / Head of Sales
Born and brought up in Uttarakhand, with roots in Delhi, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Studies from Delhi University (2009-2011) and accomplished two levels in French Language at Alliance Française de Delhi (2012-2013). My venture into the travel industry kicked off as an intern at a prestigious French DMC in Delhi, providing me with the incredible opportunity to travel across India and broaden my horizons.
In 2013, I became a part of an Inbound Travel Company in Noida, contributing to the Sales Team. This role allowed me to extensively explore India, gaining profound insights into various hotels and honing my skills in crafting exceptional travel experiences. Beyond my professional endeavours, I find joy in trekking, am a fervent cricket enthusiast, and hold a deep passion for environmental sustainability, especially in planting trees. My altruistic spirit extends to volunteering with NGOs, where I strive to create a positive impact on the lives of others.
With this diverse background, I am well-equipped and wholeheartedly dedicated to curating unforgettable journeys and creating lasting memories for our cherished guests.
